Iraq: On the tourist trail?

Although Iraq is probably not on many peoples holiday list, it seems as though it is already being bandied as a possible tourist magnet. Deborah Haynes of The Times writes:
“Known as the birthplace of civilisation, Iraq is estimated to have between 20,000 and 100,000 historic sites, which should keep history-hungry travellers, as well as professional archaeologists, entertained for decades.”
For me, its probably too soon to be thinking of entering Iraq as a tourist, but I’m sure there will be those out there that are already buying their Iraqi Dinars!

Website Updates

I have just updated some of the sidebars so they are in drop down menus which I think is more aesthetically pleasing and it also is a little more functional rather than having to scroll down loads to get to the archives section.
I also added some tabs onto the Route page, to which I plan to add some content very soon! At the moment everything is a bit of a shell, with not much content which I appreciate isn’t all that enticing, however when I start updating and adding …

During the week, Yami invited me to spend a day with her at her clinic, in the tiny hamlet of Toabré in the hills outside Penonome. In order for dentists and doctors to receive permission from the government to work as medical professionals in Panama, upon completion of their degree/doctorates, they must complete two years as an intern, which basically involves working for the Ministry of Health in the ‘interior’ of Panama (i.e in the country, away from Panama City).
